We can supply living flame gas fires to fit all our cast iron inserts and fronts. We can also provide a bespoke service for all of gas fires to suit a class 1 or class 2 flue, available in natural gas or LPG and coal, logs or pebble effect fuel beds.

Living flame gas fires typically sit inside the cast iron back of the insert. Where there is no cast iron back you will need a chair brick back to house the gas fire, this is made from fire cement or concrete, alternately you can use a hot box . A hot box is made of the same ceramic fibre as the coals used on the fuel beds of gas fires. They are designed to radiate heat into the room giving a better heat output than cast iron or chair brick backs.
